SMPTE Hollywood will mark a major milestone in the evolution of HDR cinema with its upcoming event hosted by Amazon Studios on February 11th. Taking place at The Culver Theater – the only theater in the United States outfitted for DCI compliant, HDR direct view screening systems – attendees can look forward to insightful presentations from Samsung on its Onyx LED displays and Meyer Sound on its Ultra Reflex cinema sound system. Then, spectators can enjoy an exclusive screening of The Mission, a short film produced through the American Society of Cinematographers’ StEM2 project.
